SHERWOOD TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — State Police are investigating a Dumpster explosion in Branch County’s Sherwood Township late Monday night.
They don’t know whether it was just a messy prank or a rehearsal for something more sinister, but they don’t think it was an accident, and they say it could have killed someone if they had been standing close enough.
The explosion shook homes and blew trash about 60 feet in all directions.
State Police sorted through the debris and are evaluating the explosives used.
