BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — Michigan State Police are investigating after discovering a woman’s body off of the freeway in Battle Creek.
Officials say the body of 59-year-old Vanessa Obu Wilder was found near the Capitol Avenue overpass on eastbound I-94 just before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The preliminary autopsy results on the body could not identify a cause of death and there were apparently no signs of trauma.
Wilder was reportedly staying at a motel a few blocks from the spot where her body was found.
Toxicology tests have been ordered.
