KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The City of Kalamazoo plans to clean up a parking lot at East Michigan and East Main today where piles of trash, most of it flood contaminated clothes and furniture were apparently dumped over the weekend.
The city had placed dumpsters there for anyone who had flood damage to dispose of contaminated items, but the last dumpster was removed on Friday.
City Utilities Director James Baker says crews will begin the clean up immediately. He says apparently they misjudged the continuing need for the dumpsters.
