WAVERLY TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — A crashed vehicle is leading authorities to a suspected drug bust in Van Buren County.
Deputies were called around 11:30 p.m. Monday to investigate an abandoned vehicle in the ditch near 28th Avenue and 44th Street in Waverly Township.
The vehicle information took authorities to the owner’s address in the 43,000 block of M-43 where a man answered the door and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.
Officials obtained a search warrant and later found large amount of suspected cocaine, meth, and marijuana in the house.
Charges are pending for the 20-year-old man and woman from Paw Paw who were both inside the home during the incident.
