HOLLAND, MI (WTHC-AM/FM) – The Michigan Department of Transportaion is partnering with Amtrak is for extra trips between Chicago, Illinois and Holland, Michigan during this year’s Tulip Time Festival.
A special stop at Hammond-Whiting, Indiana is also added.
The trains, on the Pere Marquette route, will have a special stp at Hammond-Whiting, IN on May 5 and May 12, for those who want a same-day visit to Tulip City.
The Pere Marquette will leave Chicago at 7:05 a.m. and Hammond-Whiting at 7:30 a.m. — that’s Central Time — arriving in Holland at 11:29 a.m. Eastern.
Visitors will have to board the return trip in Holland at 5:50 p.m. (ET); Hammond-Whiting at 7:52 p.m. (CT) for a scheduled Chicago arrival at 8:24 p.m. (CT). Parking at the Amtrak Hammond-Whiting station is free.
