KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Police say a suspected drug dealer had over an ounce of crystal meth in his hand as he answered his door last evening, apparently expecting a customer.
He was confronted by KVET officers and State Parole Agents who were conducting after-hour compliance checks.
It happened in the 700 block of Charlotte Avenue in Kalamazoo. They also found a pound of high grade marijuana in the home. The 25-year-old parolee was arrested.
Capt. Brad Misner says they periodically conduct the unannounced checks just to make sure parolees are obeying court orders and living in safe and supportive homes.
They will be seeking warrants for possession with intent to deliver meth and marijuana.
The suspect also seriously violated parole and that could mean more jail time. The name of the suspect was not released.
