CALHOUN COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — A Bedford Township man has brought some serious charges against Supervisor Adam Heikkila in a bid to get him booted out of office.
In documents submitted to Calhoun County seeking a recall, Kraig Dingman claims that Heikkila has established a pattern of threatening and intimidating behavior, using belligerent language against staff and other trustees, once to the point that police were summoned.
The proposed petition language also says he has refused to hold regular office hours and make himself available to constituents.
The Board of Canvassers in Calhoun County will meet on April 9th at 3 p.m. to review the proposed petition for clarity.
If it’s approved, the petitioner would need to collect 734 valid signatures to force a recall vote.
