WHICHITA, KANSAS (WKZO AM-FM) — The Michigan Wolverines move on to the Sweet-16 but only because Jordan Poole was able to sink a last second desperation three pointer at the buzzer.
It was one of those March Madness moments for the freshman that may be replayed for years to come, giving Michigan a 64 to 63 win and staving off an upset in the second round.
They will play either North Carolina or Texas A&M next weekend.
Michigan State will try to keep pace with its cross-state rival this afternoon. Tip off against the Syracuse Orangemen is at 2:40 in Detroit.
