KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — For the second time this quarter, a water main break in an east side neighborhood will force residents to boil their water as a precaution, until tests can verify that it’s safe to drink again.
The Shakespeare and Shuster area which is an isolated neighborhood off Lake Street that is actually in Kalamazoo Township was first put on a boil water alert in January.
It’s not clear if it’s a new water main break, or just a permanent repair on the break from January. Either way it’s triggered another precautionary water contamination warning.
The area impacted includes Shakespeare and Shuster, and the short portions of Clinton, Stockbridge and Egleston that intersect with those two roads.
