Governor Rick Snyder appears ready to push for “Red Flag” legislation that would allow family members or police to petition a judge to confiscate weapons from a person who appears ready to hurt himself or someone else .
Kalamazoo Democrat John Hoadley has already co-sponsored a Red Flag bill in the Michigan House.
A new EPIC MRA poll shows 70% of all Michigan voters would approve such legislation, 20% were opposed, and 10% were undecided.
