MT. PLEASANT (WKZO AM/FM) — The suspect in the double shooting that locked down Central Michigan University on Friday has been formally charged by video from his hospital room.
He has asked that any hearings be pushed back until he is discharged. He seemed confused by some of the questions asked by the judge and sometimes gave contradictory answers.
He was charged with two counts of open murder and one felony firearm charge, for allegedly shooting his parents, James Sr. and Diva Davis to death.
The Prosecution requested that Davis be held on $3-million dollars bond, but the judge found that excessive and knocked it down to 1.25-million, considering that Davis has no prior record.
