EAST LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) — Violent clashes between protestors and supporters of White Nationalist Richard Spencer’s broke out some distance from the Agricultural Pavilion rented from Michigan State University.
That’s where a small army of Police Officers kept the crowd from getting close to the appearance. In the end there were about 500 protestors and only about 50 people who actually made it into the Pavilion to hear Spencer’s speech.
Two dozen protestors were arrested.
A variety of activist groups and community members gathered near the venue hours before the event, to voice their opposition to Spencer’s message.
