GENEVA TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — The search continues for the gunman who shot and killed a Van Buren County man, in what may have been a targeted robbery attempt at a home in the Ports of Call Mobile Home Park near South Haven last week.
They released the name of the victim over the weekend and announced it was a homicide. They say 47-year-old Shaun Pierre Gill, a long-time resident of the community was shot to death at his place Thursday evening.
Reports at the time say the gunman walked from Gill’s trailer to another trailer nearby that was abandoned. It’s now believed that was where the suspect parked his car.
A woman hiding in the bathroom of the home called police to report the shooting. No other details have been released.
Detectives are asking for any help they can get from the public.
