LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – After record breaking floodwaters in southwest Michigan, Attorney General Bill Schuette is warning residents about car-buying scams.
Schuette says many flood-damaged vehicles may end up on the used car market with no mention of issues, and the evidence of damage might not show up right away.
Car buyers should do their research and have it inspected by an automotive technician before purchasing.
Consumers can also file complaints with the Secretary of State or the Bureau of Information Security if an auto scammer is found.
