DETROIT (WKZO AM/FM) — Governor Rick Snyder wants to spend 100-million dollars by 2024 to improve the skills and training of those who live in Michigan.
Unveiling his Marshall Plan for Talent on Thursday in Detroit, the Governor says the state needs to make “dramatic, innovative changes to the way it prepares people for careers.”
Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley says the move comes after a talent shortage in the state projecting that there will be over 800,000 openings in career, professional, and technical fields from now until 2024.
He added that The Marshall Plan will transform how we prepare our talent for the careers of tomorrow.
