KENT COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kent County Assistant Prosecutor claims that a third woman has come forward accusing suspected rapist Quinn James of also assaulting her. Her claims are still being investigated.
The announcement came during a preliminary hearing for the suspect that had to be adjourned because the first teen to accuse him failed to appear yesterday. He is currently being held on $500,000 bond in that case.
The second teen to accuse James of a sexual assault, 16-year-old Mujey Dumbuya, has been murdered, her body found dumped along a trail in Kalamazoo. James is reportedly a person of interest in that investigation, but has not been charged.
The no-show Friday prompted the defense attorney to request a lower bond for James.
That was when the Assistant prosecutor revealed that a third woman had come forward and that James may be a serial rapist. The judge denied the motion to reduce bail.
