LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 47-year-old Otsego man is the latest proof that Michigan Lottery winners can come from West Michigan.
Manuel Perez III had a Mega Millions ticket with numbers that matched the February 2nd five white balls drawn of 1, 4, 14, 17 and 40, earning him a cool million dollars. Although he is from Allegan County, Perez did purchase his ticket in Bridgport, near Saginaw,.
As is the case with any big-money winners, Perez had to claim his prize at the state lottery headquarters in Lansing, telling officials there that he plans to share the cash with his family and to invest it in his business, which wasn’t disclosed by the Lottery.
