SOUTH HAVEN (WKZO AM/FM) — Three suspects from Battle Creek are facing charges after a 2014 homicide in Van Buren County. Van Buren County deputies have arrested three people in a cold case murder from 2014.
The body of 56-year-old Scott Taylor Sr. was found at his Bloomingdale home in August of 2014 by his son.
He had apparently been the victim of an armed robbery and shot to death.
Sheriff Daniel Abbott says they collaborated with State Police and Calhoun County Investigators to identify the suspects, who were all people that Taylor knew.
All three suspects are from Battle Creek. Bond was denied for Amber Roberts, James Eakins and Brandon Robertson.
They are charged with a count of open murder and two counts each of armed robbery and felony firearms.
