CHARLOTTE (WKZO AM/FM) — The angry father who asked an Eaton County Judge for a few minutes alone in a room with Larry Nassar after hearing for the first time his daughter’s accounts of the treatment they received, will not be charged for trying to assault Nassar in the courtroom.
Eaton County Prosecutor Doug Lloyd says he checked with the defense council and Nassar whether they wanted to press charges and they said no.
Randall Margraves expressed his deep frustration and anger, while also apologizing profusely for the outburst.
Judge Janice Cunningham also declined to prosecute, saying the few hours he spent in cuffs after the event were enough punishment.
A gofundme page set up to collect money for Margraves defense collected $30,000 in two days. That money will be donated to non-profits that help the victims of sexual-assault.
