TUCSON (WKZO AM/FM) — Convicted sex offender Larry Nassar has been shipped off to a federal penitentiary in Arizona where they have a special program for treating sex offenders.
The U.S. Penitentiary in Tucson is also holding several other high profile inmates who were once celebrities or politicians.
There are also a number of first time offenders serving for internet sex crimes at the facility. Nassar will be held in the High Security portion of the prison complex.
His next possible date of release is March of 2069, when he will be 105 years old. If he gets out then, he would still face 40-more years in a Michigan Prison.
Nassar is expected to spend some of his time appealing his sentences.
