BLOOMINGDALE (WKZO AM/FM) — Complaints about a strange smell coming from a home in Bloomingdale in Van Buren County resulted in the arrest of a fugitive from Tennessee.
Tips from the neighbors on North Van Buren Street of a pungent chemical smell brought deputies to the location. They recognized it as the odor that results from someone using methamphetamine.
They found a man, and two women who had recently smoked methamphetamine and still had drug equipment and additional meth in their possession.
A background check of the man, 44-year-old Christopher Taylor turned up a fugitive warrant out of Tennessee for Methamphetamine felonies.
The man is being held in the Van Buren County Jail and the two women were released, pending charges.
