GALESBURG (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s office is looking to expand their police presence in Southwest Michigan.
Kalamazoo County Commissioners voted to add more deputies to Galesburg after the city’s interim police chief was fired and the Galesburg department was disbanded.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller says there is still some paperwork to be done and a contract should be completed next week.
Once complete Galesburg officials will be able to utilize Kalamazoo County sheriffs and their services.
