VAN BUREN COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — An Indiana man is being held on five-million dollars bond because the Van Buren County Major Crimes Task Force believe he may have killed a Decatur woman and then set her house on fire to cover up the crime.
Firefighters responded to the home at 201 East St. Mary’s Street back on November 30th and put out the flames, discovering the body of 31-year-old Jessica Lynn True in the living room.
It was quickly determined that the fire was intentionally set and that True had been murdered.
Detectives worked with Decatur police on the investigation. They are not saying what led them to arrest and charge 32-year-old Glenn Tett Jr. of South Bend, but it may have been a domestic situation.
He is being held for open murder and 2nd degree arson.
Anyone with information that may be pertinent to the case is asked to call, because the investigation remains open.
