KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The KVET anti-drug unit teamed up with the Metro SWAT Team to take down a drug house in the 600 block of Florence Street this week after a number of complaints from the neighbors about drug dealing and gun play in the area.
As the officers rolled up, two men in the front yard made a run for it and were caught, one of them tossing what turned out to be a stolen firearm as they ran.
Capt. Brad Misner says four more suspects were found inside, three of them with outstanding warrants.
The man with the gun was additionally booked Thursday for having a dealer amount of Crack on his person, resisting, frequenting a drug house and several gun felonies.
