SOUTH HAVEN (WKZO AM/FM) — Another Doctor working for Bronson Healthcare is now under the scrutiny of governmental authorities, but for a completely different reason than his immigration status.
The doctor, who has not been charged, has been put on administrative leave from his practice at Bronson South Haven Family Medicine while the investigation is underway.
There are no formal complaints listed, but they are investigating whether he has been operating what is called a “pill mill” prescribing far more painkillers than is medically necessary.
The Southwest Enforcement Team, the Michigan State Police, and the DEA reportedly executed search warrants on Thursday.
The family practice will reopen Friday.
