PORTAGE (WKZO AM/FM) — A Portage woman is pleading no contest after driving under the influence and killing an elderly Kalamazoo lady back in 2016.
20 year old Monique Sandt was under the influence of marijuana when she crashed her car into 83 year old Lois Miles’ vehicle on South 12th Street in Texas Township on November 7th of 2016.
Miles was rushed to the hospital where she later died.
On Friday January 26th Sandt entered a plea and was charged with operating while intoxicated causing death.
She is scheduled to be sentenced in March.
