ORLANDO (WKZO AM/FM) — The sex abuse scandal at MSU has reached into the NBA.
The Orlando Magic are waiving first round draft pick Adreian Payne after the basketball player was named in an ESPN article about the Spartan’s mishandling of sexual assaults on Friday.
Payne and Keith Appling were allegedly accused of rape in 2010 but never charged. The Magic refused comment beyond wishing him well.
The same article prompted both Head Football Coach Mark Dantonio and Basketball Coach Tom Izzo to say at press conferences that they had no plans to resign.
