WAYNE TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — Cass County Deputies say a Marcellus man who swerved to avoid hitting a small animal that ran across Lawrence Road, went out of control just before 2am Sunday morning and hit a tree.
23-year-old Terrence Hartzell was pried out of the wreck and loaded onto an AirCare Helicopter bound for the Intensive Care Unit at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
His condition has not been released.
Investigators say he was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor.
