KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The owner of a Rottweiler may face prosecution after the dog bit two people in the Edison Neighborhood and had to be shot when it could not be contained.
Just after 9:00 Friday night, PSO’s responded to the 1500 block of Stockbridge and learned the dog had bitten an 11-year-old boy and a man on the hand, and attacked another dog.
Efforts were made to contain the dog in a fenced in yard but that failed and an officer used his service revolver to put the dog down calling it an imminent threat to both Officers and the public.
The two victims were taken to Bronson E.R. for treatment.
