KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Western Michigan University officials are naming a new road in memory of a former Kalamazoo mayor and State Representative.
The Board of Trustees announced Wednesday that a road in the WMU’s Business Technology and Research Park expansion will be named Robert Jones Way.
Jones was elected Kalamazoo mayor in 1997, serving for 4 terms before being elected to the state House of Representatives in 2006.
He died from cancer in 2010.
