KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — Grass was a big topic at last night’s Kalamazoo Township Meeting, both the kind you smoke and the kind you mow.
The Township may be the first in the area to get a Medical Marijuana ordinance approved.
They now have a draft ordinance and a map of the 14 properties in the township that will be permitted for use at the Township Website.
It can be viewed at the Township’s website for public comment before it goes to the Township board for final approval.
Township Trustees also approved an ordinance that lowers the permissible height of grass growing in yards from a foot to eight inches before a compliance officer may come around and issue a warning.
If it’s left to grow, the township may have it mowed, and send the home owner a bill and a fine.
