EMMETT TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — An armed suspect led police from several agencies on a chase that began in Battle Creek and ended with a crash in Emmett Township mid-afternoon Sunday.
Officers initially responded to a report of shots fired inside a home in the 200 block of Riverside Drive that came in at 3 pm, only to learn that the suspect had already driven away.
They broadcast a description of the vehicle which was spotted near Cliff and Greble. The driver refused to stop and was chased down Columbia Avenue, eventually losing control at Michigan Avenue and Wattles Road and crashing.
The suspect was taken into custody with the assistance of State Police and Emmett Township officers.
No word if there were injuries at the home or the crash site.
