KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Former State Representative and Kalamazoo City Commissioner Ed LaForge has died.
The Democrat and champion for liberal causes was a mentor for many current local officials. He died friday with his wife, Anne at his bedside.
His family issued a statement saying he fought for those with no voice.
LaForge suffered from cardiac problems.
He was 82.
