DETROIT (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo man reported missing in December has turned up dead in Detroit, the victim of an apparent homicide, and a man is in custody. Public Safety Investigators said they believed that 69-year-old Henry Gray had been in some sort of altercation prior to disappearing just before the New Year.
They aren’t offering a lot of details, but Captain Shannon Bagley says his body was recovered in the Motor City.
With the help of the Michigan State Police and the Detroit Police Homicide Task Force, a 34-year-old man from South Haven has been arrested on open murder charges.
Jail Records show that Shanadore Rice has been sitting in the Kalamazoo County Jail since last weekend, charged with open murder. Bond has been denied.
Court records suggest he may be involved with the physical altercation reported before Gray’s disappearance.
