KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety is looking for the mugger responsible for a violent armed robbery near Bells Eccentric Café Friday night just after 9 pm.
Public Safety says the 55-year-old victim was ordered to the ground by a large black male who claimed to have a gun.
The victim was struck in the face before the suspect fled the area, dropping the man’s stolen property as he ran.
A perimeter was established and a K-9 deployed but the robber, who is about 6 foot tall wearing a black jacket, green overalls and a grey ski mask got away.
