KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The boil water alert caused by the water main break on Patterson Street has been lifted, but Patterson Street remains blocked to through traffic.
The affected area stretched along Patterson Street from Douglas to Cobb Avenue, including the Douglas Community Center, which was forced to initially close because of the water problems.
The City Utility Department says that bacteriological sampling within the impacted area shows the water is safe to drink.
