LAKESHORE (WKZO AM/FM) — It looks like the cold spell is coming to an end but not until one more frigid day and more lake effect snow event.
Allegan, Van Buren and Berrien Counties got pounded overnight as winds out of the north put a steady lake effect tendril over those lakeshore counties.
They got up to a half a foot of new snow, on top of the foot that fell just the day before.
Buchanan near the Indiana Border in Berrien County has gotten 29-inches.
They have all weekend to dig out. The story inland has been the blistering cold but its all about to change.
We could see a high of 30 Sunday and actually see highs above freezing and a melt off this coming work week.
