EDISON NEIGHBORHOOD (WKZO AM/FM) –The family gathering at a home in the 1200 block of Lane Boulevard Christmas Eve turned violent when three family members got into an argument and a 30-year-old man struck two other family members in the head with the butt of his handgun at about 9 pm.
Police were called, an alert neighbor spotted the suspect several blocks away and notified PSO’s.
They responded and took him into custody. They also recovered the gun.
His two victims both suffered head lacerations, one of them was taken to the hospital for treatment and the other was patched up by the paramedic.
The suspect was booked into the Kalamazoo County Jail for Felonious assault, simple assault and battery, domestic violence, and a couple of felon gun charges.
