The temporary loss of pressure has triggered a precautionary boil water alert for a section of the City of Kalamazoo that includes Virginia Avenue, Chandler Avenue to the north, Mt. Olivet road to the South and Spring Valley Crossing Apartments.
Testing has begun and if everything checks out, they hope to be able to lift the advisory before Christmas.
