KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The bent-nosed bank robber is in custody after a couple of bank robberies in Kalamazoo County.
He was prominently photographed wearing Carharts and a big stocking cap during bank robberies in Kalamazoo and Galesburg in the last few days.
Kalamazoo County Deputies aren’t offering any details about how they cracked the case and identified the suspects, but they have also arrested his getaway driver.
Lt. Jeff Baker says the older white male suspect is being held for robbing the Comerica Branch on West Main last Thursday, and the PNC Branch in Galesburg Saturday morning.
At both banks investigators say he walked in, handed a note to the teller demanding cash claiming he had a gun and fled to a silver van where a driver was waiting with the engine running.
They are leaving charges up to the Prosecutor.
