PORTER TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — Most of the snow may have melted away but there are still apparently slick spots on some rural roads.
Cass County Deputies report that a man was killed early this morning when he lost control of his vehicle in Porter Township on an icy road surface and rolled the vehicle.
Deputies say that 48-year-old Daniel Stanley of Elkhart was found dead at about 4:44 am when they responded to a call of a crash near Mason Street and Union Road.
They say Stanley was ejected from the vehicle and killed because he wasn’t wearing his seat belt.
They don’t believe that alcohol played a factor in the crash. They are investigating.
