LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) — They were bracing for crowds at the State’s licensing agency on Friday, the first day they were accepting applications for medical marijuana businesses, expecting a land-rush, they put up rope barriers to form lines, but it didn’t happen.
Most towns haven’t generated local ordinances yet and without those local agreements, the application forms can’t be completed. Between that and the long application form, high fees and proof of assets it did not happen.
Director of the Bureau, Andrew Brisbo says it will take time….
91 started profiles on-line but only two were completed applications, and while 8 applications were delivered in person, only one was complete.
