KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo is losing another police Chief. Kalamazoo Township Chief Tim Bourgeois has announced he will be retiring at the end of the year.
Last night the Township board honored Bourgeois for his four decades of service, starting with the department as a cadet and working his way up to Chief.
He was given a certificate and a standing ovation. Brian Ergang will be taking over as the new Chief.
It comes just a month after Kalamazoo Public Safety Chief Jeff Hadley left for a new job in Georgia.
