DETROIT (WKZO AM/FM) — It was announced Sunday that shortstop Alan Trammel and pitcher Jack Morris have both been voted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame.
Both played on the 1984 World Series Championship team.
Both were with Detroit for most if not all of their careers.
The Tigers Organization has announced that their player numbers 3 and 47 will be retired next season now that it has been announced that Trammel and Morris are headed to Cooperstown.
