BOYNE FALLS, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A new feature on the state’s travel website may be a online hit.
It’s called personalization, and Pure Michigan Vice President Dave Lorenz explained it before members of the Michigan Travel Commission in a quarterly meeting today at the Boyne Mountain resort. “When you go to the website, you’re going to look for information that you are really passionate about,” he said during a weekly interview on “WHTC Morning News.”
“After a while, the computer literally learns your preferences, learns how to personalize your preferences, so when you go back to the website, instead of having to search for this information deeply through the website, it will serve it up to you right away on the home page.”
Lorenz added that he didn’t think any other state tourism agency in America has such a feature that Michigan.org does.
