KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The Borgess Hospital Foundation kicked off their 32nd annual Tree of Love Campaign Thursday evening. It’s one of those unique Kalamazoo Christmas traditions.
While most holiday campaigns may help the poor with donations of food, or clothing or gifts,
Development Officer Tony McDonnell says this one may actually have the potential to save lives.
They raise money to provide mammograms and other cancer screening to women who could not afford it otherwise.
Their goal this year is to raise about $70,000 and they are about half way there.
