KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A young couple, taking advantage of the mild December weather for a ride on a motorcycle were killed when their bike collided with a car at the intersection of Sprinkle and east H Avenue in Comstock Township.
Kalamazoo County Deputies say it happened at about 12:40 yesterday afternoon.
They have been identified as 28-year-old David Haan of Kalamazoo and 27-year-old Stephanie Marie Hirding of Portage.
The crash shut down the intersection for several hours.
The condition of the automobile driver has not been released. In fact very few details have been released pending the outcome of the investigation.
They do say it appears that drugs and alcohol were not a factor.
