DECATUR, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A body has been found in a burned home in Decatur.
The body was found in a burned home on West St. Marys Street. The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a possible homicide and Sheriff Dan Abbott says they believe the fire that broke out yesterday morning is arson, and no arrests have been made.
“It’s believed at this point that it’s the renter of the place, a 31-year-old female. However we have not been able to confirm that.”
The Sheriff’s Office says they are looking for at least one person for questioning as there were a lot of people seen coming and going from the house. The FBI is helping with the investigation.
