KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — For the second time in as many months a young girl walking to school in Kalamazoo has been groped by a scruffy old cyclist who then just pedals away.
The first time it happened, it was near Crosstown and Maple. Early yesterday just after 7 am it happened on Konkle Street to two girls walking to Milwood Middle School.
They described the man as an averaged sized elderly African-American male dressed in a dark coat, dark pants and riding a dark colored bike. He had a scruffy beard.
Capt. Shannon Bagley says they can’t say conclusively that the same man is responsible for both incidents, but “scruffy” was the one adjective used to describe both men.
He says if this happens again, they want to hear about it as quickly as possible so they can flood the area with patrol cars and get this suspect out of circulation.
