GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The Muskegon man accused of a double shooting that prompted an AMBER Alert in Muskegon on Tuesday is now in police custody.
Grand Rapids Police Captain Geoff Collard says 22-year-old Jaraun Render was arrested in Grand Rapids Thursday afternoon.
“We got a call that some individuals from the Federal Task Force that they had located the individual to be involved in the incident in Muskegon. Anytime you can get someone who is violent willing to hurt individuals in the community off the streets as part of a good investigation, it’s a good thing,
Render is accused of shooting 19-year-old Linda Jamerson and 26-year-old Dajuan Edison in the parking lot of the Sunny Mart on East Apple Avenue Tuesday night. Render who was in possession of Jamerson’s three children, two of which are also his. caused an AMBER Alert on Wednesday
The shooting victims are still in the hospital. Render who will be in courty today is is facing assault with intent to murder charges. .
